The R&D department carries out research in areas of shrimp health, conducts projects aimed at reducing operating costs, improving processes and procedures to improve productivity and ensure strong environmental impact management.

Research and development is a key plank in NPC’s ability to be a global leader in Desert Aquaculture. R&D investment is a significant contributor to NPC’s sustainability agenda with programs designed to optimize production in high saline environments while minimizing impact to the environment through a reduction in inputs such as fish meal.
